Droch Loch

2. September 2022/0 Comments/in Lyrics/by Big Ben

A song lyric for Tendonitis inspired by Scotland

verse I
vengeful spirit
hungry sprite
waiting watching
drag and bite
pretty vision
what a sight
lures you in and
glues you tight

verse II
the spirit will get you
a vision so pure
it beckons with pleasure
it’s beauty the lure

prechorus
near the river
near the loch
it’s beauty like a sirens call

chorus
shape shifter, water drifter
guard your bridle well
soul taker, bone breaker
lest serve me you shall

verse III
angry phantom
hateful ghost
near the water
near the coast
looking like a
graceful host
guard your mind or
you’ll be toast

verse IV
the evil it want’s you
it’s hunger so great
and once under water
a seal’s on you fate

prechorus
near the river
near the loch
it’s beauty like a sirens call

chorus
shape shifter, water drifter
guard your bridle well
soul taker, bone breaker
lest serve me you shall

verse V
evil creature
in the night
image of a
shining knight
pulls you under
stop your fight
rips you downward
out of sight
when you see the
fading light
your soul will drown in
dreadful fright

prechorus
near the river
near the loch
it’s beauty like a sirens call

chorus
shape shifter, water drifter
guard your bridle well
soul taker, bone breaker
lest serve me you shall

The Great Unknown

8. July 2021/0 Comments/in Lyrics/by Big Ben

Songtext for Tendonitis

Verse I
I don’t know what you think we do
I don’t think you see what is going on
You see me and I see you too
But I see right through you I’m moving on

Verse II
I never knew what I could do
And I felt so relieved it can’t be wrong
All the lies they tell are true
And once you know it hits you all night long

Refrain
Answers without heed
Can only lead to woe
Follow where I lead
It’s where you need to go

Verse III
Your tinfoil hat will tell it true
And you just can’t decide which way to turn
I know what you will say and do
Your consequential action’s no concern

Breakdown
You’ll never see me coming
I will take it all
My control is ever growing
Understanding large to small

Refrain
Answers without heed
Can only lead to woe
Follow where I lead
It’s where you need to go

lost in distraction

7. February 2019/0 Comments/in Poetry, Random thoughts/by Big Ben

what will you do when the distraction ends
when suddenly the world stands still

what will you do when it punches your gut
and all you can do is keep breathing
just barely

what will you do when there’s nowhere to hide
when you choke on your fear, alone

what will you do when the story ends
without you

what will you do when sleep will not come
when you reach out and find nothing

what will you do when something frightens you
and scares you through the night

what will you do when there’s no words left
when everything around you crumbles

what will you do when all the color has drained
and only grey remains

what will you do when the light leaves you life
and leaves you alone in the dark

what will you do when there’s no one to share
no laughter no warmth and no life

you drown on your tears and you choke on your breath
and you wish your heart was dead and deaf

The Reckoning

22. January 2019/0 Comments/in Lyrics/by Big Ben

Songtext for Tendonitis

verse I
I am your horror
in shadow I stride
dread be my father
and panic my bride
your fear I can smell it
it tickles my soul
revenge at long last
I am close to my goal

chorus
seek you – nowhere to hide now
find you – and nowhere to run
bind you – no salvation
torment and suffering come
seek you – nowhere to hide now
find you – and nowhere to run
bind you – no salvation
death – sweet kiss of a gun

verse II
watching my prey
and enjoying the sight
all the while sharpening
and honing my bite
patiently waiting
to witness despair
my retribution
your blood we will share

chorus
seek you – nowhere to hide now
find you – and nowhere to run
bind you – no salvation
torment and suffering come
seek you – nowhere to hide now
find you – and nowhere to run
bind you – no salvation
death – sweet kiss of a gun

bridge
you shall beg for your demise
and suffer till you’ve payed my prize
I will end you when I tell
you to go and burn in hell

verse III
tearing your flesh to
delight in your pain
never too much thus
prolonging my gain
eyes flicker wildly the
fire is gone
your soul is mine
and you – you’re done

chorus
seek you – nowhere to hide now
find you – and nowhere to run
bind you – no salvation
torment and suffering come
seek you – nowhere to hide now
find you – and nowhere to run
bind you – no salvation
death – sweet kiss of a gun

Eight-fold Path

22. January 2019/0 Comments/in Lyrics/by Big Ben

Songtext for Tendonitis

intro
down in the abyss of my heart
eternal duty claws apart
my being

darkness is strong within my soul
always the battle for control

there’s no relenting no retreat
no hope for truce and no defeat
two sides are one and yet not whole
witness the battle for control

chorus
the eight-fold path
strive to achieve
the tears of things
hope to relieve

bridge
must not falter
not give in
karmic respite
past live’s sin
endless circle
loop and repeat
heathen in hell
no way to cheat

interlude
don’t deny my right to be
darkness is a part of me
for as long as light shines free
shadows bloom eternally

bridge
must not falter
not give in
karmic respite
past live’s sin
endless circle
loop and repeat
heathen in hell

Look Back

16. January 2019/0 Comments/in Lyrics/by Big Ben

Lyrics I wrote for a song by Penelope Athena

verse
everybody said that I must loose
everybody said that hope has faded

bridge
but I have never been someone to break
I am alive and strong – keep fighting on
I motivate myself cause that’s the key – the key

chorus
come here me scream
feel my desire
come hear my dream
witness my fire

rap
inside you you’ll find
all you’ll ever need
potential unbound
capacity freed

go live your dreams
for what it is worth
the fire within you let’s you conquer the world

more rap
I had found my strength
the limit was the sky
I felt a power surge
an indescribable high

now hear me all
that you aswell might be freed
believe in yourself
it’s all you’ll ever needc

chorus
come here me scream
feel my desire
come hear my dream
witness my fire

Bellum, Parabellum

8. June 2016/0 Comments/in Lyrics/by Big Ben

Songtext for Tendonitis.
Shoutout to soon to be bestselling author Seth Jenkins for proof reading.

verse I
muster the troops for war for
this time we’ll end it all
to victory my faithful friends
that’s not how this story ends
condition their minds to mush
believe in the burning bush
march onward to victory
for everyone out there shall see

bridge
si vis pacem
parabellum

verse II
fighting for the Motherland
to seize all that we can
destroying our enemy
every chance that we can see
pillaging their houses and
defiling their spouses to see
them in wicked agony
thriving on their misery

chorus
orders received
stop their advances
artillery Siege
no second chances
down in the mud
down in the trenches
drowning in blood
withering senseless

bridge
si vis pacem
parabellum

verse III
the ditches are filled with blood
the vengeance gone with the flood
resistance was met in vain
and all that stays is grief and pain
gravestones in the morning mist while
all the women go unkissed
forgiven you can be in hell
no one can break this satan’s spell

chorus
orders received
stop their advances
artillery Siege
no second chances
down in the mud
down in the trenches
drowning in blood
withering senseless

outro
he who declares war
does not perish in the commotion

Frühling

Frühling

12. March 2016/0 Comments/in Poetry/by Big Ben

wenn der augen tiefe angenehm
sich zwei verliern im wunderschön
die pupillen sich verlangend weiten
und zur tat man möchte schreiten

wenn körper aneinander reiben
und das gefühl, kaum zu beschreiben
sich verlangen bemerkbar macht
und viel zu kurz ist jede nacht

wenn zeit vergeht im wirbelwind
und sich verliert man sehr geschwind
wenn das denken dir vergeht
und den kopf sie dir verdreht

wenn schmetterlinge munter tummeln
in deinem bauch ein stetes brummeln
sich sterne zeigen auch am tag
und vögel singen unverzagt

dann weisst du hier bist du daheim
so schön kann nur der frühling sein

River of Time

30. October 2015/0 Comments/in Poetry/by Big Ben

In the past there was a time
where nothing could go wrong
where every little moment lived
was cause for rhyme and song
where one would float in joyous bliss
without concern for watches
where hearts would beat in gleeful rhythm
and nothing was obnoxious

In the past there was a time
a beauty floating on
a river running ever swift
along the whistling swan
on towards the endless wides
of lakes and ocean lands
alas the time has ended since
and lost the meadow lands

No matter where the thoughts may roam
they always keep returning
to the beauty that was lost
to passion fires burning
to being second in the race
for loneliness’ extinction
to lose affections tender touch
to senseless mind addiction

As time moves on the memory fades
the wounds will turn to scars
the error of a broken dream
sent far out to the stars
the scars will stay forevermore
no surgeon can correct
the false hope caused disfigurements
indifference and neglect

Live the Moment

Random Thoughts & Mantras – Savour the Moment

14. October 2015/0 Comments/in Random thoughts/by Big Ben

Today no poetry. Just some poetic toughts and mantras to make your life worth living.
I think I will make a series of this. Let me know what You think.

Savour the Moment.

When You are about to do something or experience something with someone don’t fret about the future, don’t let Your wristwatch or mobile ruin the experience. Just savour the Moment and let what may come, come! Be open for changes in Your plans. Experience, Savour, Live, Love and take it in with an open mind and heart. It will give You way more than any plan you might want to stick to.

If You are always thinking of what comes next it will blind You to the beauty of the moment. Don’t try to push Yourself to stick to the plan you made during your leisure time. To experience the moment at it’s fullest You need to be in the moment.  That’s impossible if You are looking at Your watch all the time thinking: “Oh… we need to hurry up, in 20 minutes we have to be there and then there and then there.” Try to be open about your schedule. Enjoy the time You have with whomever you have around you no matter if it’s Your spouse, Your friends, Your lover or just Yourself. Time is precious, yes, but if You run around all day without actually living the moments, making memorys of them, it is worthless. You will have done a lot of stuff but will have experienced nothing.

Live the Moment. Love the Moment. Experience the Moment. Feel Yourself in the Moment. Make a Memory!
